women’s Film Festival

Bringing a Festival into the Future

The Rocky Mountain Women’s Film Festival is the second-longest running women’s film festival in the world — a fall film festival in Colorado Springs, CO, attracting filmmakers, directors, producers, writers internationally since 1987.

With the rebrand of the parent organization, Rocky Mountain Women’s Film, the festival needed to follow suit. WFF needed to better communicate the inclusive, joyful experience of the festival, connect visually to the new RMWF branding, and reflect the drive, diversity and spirit of the women they celebrate through film.

Services

The WFF branding was very limited, consisting of the logo and a stark red, black and white color palette, with the festival design changing yearly. We elevated the festival to a signature event (and their primary fundraiser) in the brand architecture and gave it distinct branding.

A developed sub-brand allowed them to better support the event experience, marketing communications, and build brand equity. Not to mention, reflected their personality and spirit in a vibrant way.
